Date: 6/16/2008

Project named Most Outstanding Rural Low Income Housing Tax Credit Development in America

A project that DiSabatino Construction was the general contractor on has won a National Award from the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition. The Award is the 14th Annual Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award. It is presented to the most outstanding Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties in six different categories: Rural, Metropolitan, Special Needs, Senior Housing, GO Zone, and Public Revitalization. The awards celebrate the best in affordable rental housing development from around the country.

Old Landing II Apartments in Millsboro, DE was named the National Winner in the Rural Housing category. There were a total of 43 applications from 23 states, and the competition was tough. The project won a financial grant to help bring further services and programs to the development.

The awards ceremony took place in the Russell Senate Building in Washington, DC. Senator Thomas Carper presented the award for Old Landing II. It is a great honor for the whole project team that helped bring the development into reality. DiSabatino Construction was represented by President Larry DiSabatino and Project Manager Ted Laws.
